At breakfast it turns out that we are the only guests in the hotel - perhaps the first also? Anyway, today we're going towards the Western Mainland, leaving it to chance where we're going to stay the night. We're heading for the Standing Stones at Stennes, but as we approach them, it starts to rain, and we decide to go on to Stromnes and see the stones another day. Stromnes is a lovely old town centered around a very long main street with steep passages up the hill to one side, and down to the harbour on the other. The town is full of visitors, and many of the B&Bs are full, but there's so much accomodation around that there's no problem. Dinner at one of the Main Street hotels, and after dinner a stroll through town in the by now perfect evening.
