The lighthouse on Stora Karlsö, Gotland

Our quarters at the lighthouse is not in the lighthouse itself, but in
one of the buildings where the people taking care of the lighthouse have
lived. We have a simple room with not much except two beds in it and share
a kitchen and bathroom with the four other rooms in the house. Had we known
there was a kitchen, we could have brought our own food to cook, but as
it is, we must descend the 60 mts to sea level to eat at the restaurant
at the jetty. Here is also a small museum showing the island’s development
over time, and stuffed sea birds of all the species represented on the
island as well as drawings of all the plants and trees.
